Remember To Always Say Thank You

Good day lovely crafters, so often people forget to say thank you. We get caught up in the cycle of everyday life that we don’t think to thank people, especially the ones closest, for the little things. Remember, even the smallest things take time, effort and thought, so they deserve a thank you. A little thought and appreciation goes a long way so, today and everyday, don’t forget to say “Thank You”. With that being said I have a thank you card to share today. What better way to say thank you then by telling someone how grateful you are? I did this by heat embossing the “So Greatful” sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas. To heat emboss it I first used my magic buddy in the area I wanted to stamp, then using my Versamark ink pad and my misti stamping tool I stamped the sentiment. Following that I sprinkled super fine embossing powder over the wet ink and then finished up by heating it with my trusty heat gun.

How cute is Amy In The Garden? She is a digi stamp designed by Sasayaki Glitter and colored with Spectrum Noir markers. Now, I have to say when I first got my SN markers I was really bummed about the color choices for red because there was not a nice true red marker. To my surprise I was actually able to get that nice true red color I was looking for with the right color combo.

Spectrum Noir Colors Used:

  • Dress ~ CR7, DR2, DR5, DR7
  • Shoes ~ IG3, IG5, IG9, True Black
  • Skin ~ FS2, FS3, FS7, FS8 (cheeks)
  • Hair ~ TN1, TN2, TN3
  • Fence ~ TN2, TN5, TN7
  • Flowers ~ GB3, GB6, PP3
  • Grass ~ CG1, CG2, CG4
  • Sky ~ BT1, BT2, BT3

As for everything else used to make this card…. The card base is red Recollections cardstock and the patterned paper is from The Timeless Textured stack by DCWV. A piece of mod podged burlap attached with some mini brads. Then finished up with some trimmings, a little flower bead, and a red bow from my craft stash. Oh, and lots of edge distressing using Tim Holtz brushed cordaroy distress ink.

Thanks for checking out this post and happy crafting.
