No Stamping Christmas Card

Ok folks, I’m trying to crunch through my Crafty Elves Countdown To Christmas card detail posts before the 25 rolls around and it’s time to post again, wish me luck on actually having a post with directions the next go around. Anyways, this one actually is another super easy card to make.

Have you ever bought stickers because you just loved them, they were so beautiful, and you just had to have them? Well, that is what I did with gobs of vintage Christmas stickers. I figured this was a good time to start using them. I challenge you to do that same, get out those stickers you have been hoarding for what seems like ever and get to crafting.

Well, for this card I started by trimming down some vintage looking script pattern paper and inked up the edges with some Tim Holtz distress inks, and attached it to my card base. I then attached a beautiful vintage train sticker, it looks so good that a crafty friend actually thought it was a stamp at first. I then dug through my washi tape, (I’m hoarding lots of Christmas washi tape) and found some with words that matched and worked perfect for the sentiment. The top looked too plain and off balanced so I dug through my Christmas washi again and found some plaid pattern tape that matched perfectly. The card needed just a little more so I added some ribbon strips, a tiny bow, and a bit of sequins.

There you have it, an easy and beautiful Christmas card created not using a single stamp and using things that I have been hoarding for years.

That’s it for this one, I hope to see you use up some of your hoarded craft supplies.
