Hey there sweet crafty friends! Today is my day to post over on the SumMore Fun blog. With National Coffee Lovers Day right around the corner I decided to make a coffee card.
SumMore Fun just started adding digi stamps to their store. They have been adding more and more lovely images to their store and will continue adding them. The coffee cup is from their Simple Coffee digi pack. I love the simplicity of this stamp set because after I print the images I can take my physical stamps and use them on the inside of the cups which gives me so many more options.
I chose the to-go cup out of the set which I printed on some Canson 90 lb watercolor paper. The beautiful ballerina stamped on the cup is from the Rasin Boats stamp set ~On Pointe~. I swear this set has some of the prettiest ballerina stamps I’ve ever seen.
I watercolor painted my image with Prima Watercolor Confections using a Derwent water brush. I also created some solid color paper to match my stamp image by watercoloring a sheet of watercolor paper with green color used on the ballerinas dress.
Using my Tim Holtz mini snips I fussy cut my coffee cup and then layered it on my card base along with some coordinating pattern paper and die cut doily. I then added a sentiment banner stamped with “Thank a Latte” from the Jaded Blossom stamp set {Kind Thanks}.
The inside was pretty easy to do, I stamp the sentiment “You are Always on Pointe” (Also from the On Pointe stamp set) onto my hand painted paper. I then layered it with the same pattern paper used on the front and finishing it off with some sequins. Even though it extends my card making time I love making the card insides look nice as well.
**** Since this card is a coffee themed card I feel it’s the perfect time to let you know SumMore Fun its going to be a sponsor in the National Coffee Lovers blog hop that is being hosted over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog on September 29th. Make sure you save that date and come back and visit, there’s going to be lots of awesome giveaways****
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
