Hey crafty friends, I tried something new for the card I am sharing with you today. That something new was making a long card, one that will fit in a standard mailing envelope. I actually really enjoyed making it and plan on making more in the future.
This beautiful card was created for the SumMore Fun Mood Board Challenge. My source of inspiration where the flowers and the yellow and green colors.
The flowers, words and sentiment are from the Raisin Boat stamp set {You Are My Sunshine}. I used the waterbrush to pencil tip technique with Derwent Inktense Pencils to add color to the flowers (Colors ~ Golden Yellow and Carmine Pink). The flowers were cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut. I then made them sparkle with some clear Wink of Stella.
The papers, ribbon, washi tape, flat back pearls and twin are all from my craft stash. I’ve been trying really hard to use more things for my craft stash rather than buying new stuff. The nice thing about making this card a tall card is all that scrapbook paper I’ve been hoarding for years worked perfectly for it.
I incorporate a lot of the same elements from the front on the inside. Even though it takes me more time I really love having the card inside decorated as nicely as the outside. So, how beautiful is that sentiment “Just like flowers, some people brighten your day just by being there”? It is from Unity Stamps April 2017 monthly kit called {Be My Bird}
