Good day sweet crafters! Who would of thought lemons could be so pretty? I know I didn’t think so. When Unity released their {Stand Tall} kit last month, I thought to myself, “What in the world am I supposed to do with a lemon stamp?” But then, SumMore Fun release their current mood board challenge which got my creative juices flowing, finally knowing what to do with that lemon stamp.

To start with, I stamped my image and sentiment on to some Canson XL watercolor paper in Versafine black ink using my Tim Holtz stamping platform. I then watercolored it using Prima Watercolor Confections. After my image panel was all dry I attached it to a white card base using an atg tape gun. I finished it off by adding a few green sequins which I glued on with Ranger multi-medium matte.

For an easy peasy card I think this came out very pretty. I also learned that lemons really can be bright and beautiful.

I couldn’t decide on the sentiment for the inside of the card and decided to keep that pretty simple as well. I painted a piece of watercolor paper the same blue used for the background of the lemon and then attached it to the inside. That created a matte around the white card stock that I add it last.
