My Shining Star Galaxy Watercolor Cards

Hello there! I’m here today with another card for the Lawn Fawn Sketch Challenge 28.When painting galaxies first became popular I gave it a shot, but I didn’t know what to do with the paining so I stuck it in a box. This challenge gave me the perfect idea on what to do with it.I cut two circles out of my galaxy painting using stitched circle dies, one medium and one large.  Then using an oval stitch die and the circles used to cut out galaxy circles, I cut a little piece of green cardstock to create a grassy sitting area for the cute critters. These cute fox and bunny critters are from the “Upon A Star” Lawn Fawn stamp set. I stamp them on 90lb Canson watercolor paper using my MISTI and Versafine onyx black ink. I then painted the little critters using Peerless watercolor and Derwent water brushes. Once they were dry I used my mini Tim Holtz scissors to fussy cut the critters. I actually did such a craptastic job with the fussy cutting, so much that I cut away some of the black outlines. No biggie though, I just used a black gel pen to draw the outline back in. Just so all the black lines matched I went over all the stamped lines with the black gel pen. Sound like fun, right? Lol, that was time well waisted. Note to self, next time use the Scan n Cut.To finish the saying “YOU’RE MY SHINING” I stamped the word “Star” on the inside of both cards. To add just a little jazz to the inside I added some stamped stars that I colored in with gold Wink of Stella.

Thanks for stopping by today and come back soon.

Happy Crafting!
