Mother’s Day Watercolored Horse Card

Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful crafters. Today I have a bunch of cards to share with you, but I’m going to keep this post very simple. I’m going to call this “Pictures For Inspiration”.

Stamps Used:

  • Unity/Phyllis Harris “Easier with YOU by my side”
  • Unity/Phyllis Harris “Listen from the Heart”
  • My Sentiments Exactly (mse) “Mother’s Day”

Both images were painted using Kuretake watercolor. I painted them all basically the same, so I easily could of made all the cards the same. Of course I had to be difficult and make each one different.
Each painted image was cut out using different stitched die shapes; oval, square, circle, rectangle, and postage stamp stitched dies.
Each sentiment was done differently as well. Some on tags, some on scalloped circles, and some heat embossed.
Adding the decorative borders was nice and really helped to make each card different. As well as using some twine here and there.I highlighted the edges for some of the pieces with yellow Tim Holtz distress ink. I really like how the yellow looked against the purple so much that I decided to add yellow washi tape to some of the cards. To finish them up I added some little doodads here and there. When I say doodads I mean sequins, flat back pearls, and little flowers. Well, I just couldn’t do it! I just couldn’t make a blog post with pictures and not write any details.

Thinks for visiting and I hope I have inspired you in some creative way.

Have an amazing Mother’s Day and Happy Crafting!
